First Northern Bank Names Local High
School Senior Recipient of Agricultural Scholarship
First Northern Bank has named James "Cody" Robben recipient of
this year’s Agriculture Scholarship. Robben, a senior at Dixon
High School, was awarded the $500 scholarship at the Dixon High
School awards ceremony June 2.
Each year, First Northern Bank honors a local high school senior
who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the agricultural
industry through community involvement and academic achievement.
Recipients are chosen based on the desire to pursue a degree in
the agricultural sciences, demonstrated interest in the industry
through participation in organizations that support agricultural
education, as well as academic accomplishments.
Robben is the son of William "Tony" and Colleen Robben and is a
fourth generation Dixon resident. He will attend Cuesta College in
San Luis Obispo this fall and hopes to complete his education at
Cal Poly, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business or
Crop Sciences. An active member in 4-H and Future Farmers of
America (FFA) throughout high school, Robben was also an award
recipient at the 75th Annual FFA Leadership Conference held
earlier this year.
